I became a creator because writing gave me a way to turn difficult experiences into something meaningful. I am a former volunteer firefighter and EMT, a domestic violence survivor, a truck driver’s wife, and a highway-safety advocate. Songwriting became a way for me to process trauma, anxiety, separation, resilience, and the realities experienced by truck drivers and the families waiting for them at home.
Much of my work is inspired by real people, real emotions, and stories that are often overlooked. I write about professional drivers, survivors, military families, working-class relationships, grief, perseverance, and the quiet sacrifices people make every day.
What I enjoy most is the moment when an emotion that has been difficult to explain finally becomes a lyric. A song can help someone feel understood without ever knowing the songwriter personally. When someone tells me that a song reflects their own life or says what they could not put into words, that is the most meaningful part of creating.
